Ms. Gilley (nee Rubin) is so excited to be part of the Glenview community! She grew up in Berkeley and went to elementary school in Oakland, so the Bay Area community is close to her heart. Ms. Gilley studied anthropology and linguistics at Pitzer College and got her Masters in Education at the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute. TK is her favorite age, and she is thrilled to learn and play with her class this year.
In December 2020, Ms. Gilley was honored by the Alameda County Office of Education for demonstrating innovation, creativity, compassion, care, and a commitment to equity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms. Gilley loves to sing, play guitar, and make up songs. Her favorite thing to do is go to the beach, read, and eat. She loves to travel and learn new languages. Ms. Gilley can speak some Spanish, Italian, French, Wolof, and Pular...she is working on her German skills next!
