Jessica DeStefano

Jessica started teaching at Glenview in 2020. She is proud to be educating Oakland's youth amongst the warm, creative, knowledgeable, and fun staff at Glenview.

Jessica was an Early Childhood Educator for 10 years. She taught at a Reggio-inspired school in Brooklyn and at a play-based preschool in Oakland. After falling in love with the city of Oakland, she wondered what more she could be contributing to the community. She decided she could bring her knowledge of Early Childhood Development to Oakland Unified's Special Education Department, teaching a special education class in Oakland for several years.  The year 2022 brings an exciting change for Jessica. She is beyond thrilled to teach kindergarten.

She recently obtained her Masters of Special Education from the California State University of the East Bay. When Jessica isn't teaching she enjoys floating in the Russian River, walking the hills of her neighborhood, and making pesto sauce.
