Uniform Policy

Listed below are general guidelines regarding what students may wear to school:

1. Clothes should be no larger than one size above the student's regular size. Baggy clothes are discouraged

2. Clothes should be in the school colors (solid colors only). Glenview’s uniform colors are navy blue and white. Navy blue pants, skirts, shorts or jumpers. Solid colored white shirts or navy blue shirts. No logos, please. Glenview shirts and Glenview sweatshirts can be worn. Glenview apparel can be purchased from the PTA.

3. Clothing and outerwear with logos or pictures is strongly discouraged.

4. Clothing should be clean and in good condition.

5. Midriff-baring tops, spaghetti straps, short shorts or skirts, and tank tops are not to be worn to school.

6. Hats/hoods are to be removed in class.

7. Glenview’s free dress day is every Friday. School appropriate non-uniform clothing is to be worn. Other special dress days will be announced throughout the year.

8. Parents will be called and asked to bring a change of clothing if a child is inappropriately dressed. This includes inappropriate shoes. Students are expected to wear non-distracting shoes that are safe for outside play (no flip-flops, slip-on/slides, heals, clunky/stacked or roller shoes).
