Mr. Gilley is a proud California transplant and third-generation teacher. Born and raised in Temple, Texas, Mr. Gilley graduated with a BS in Educational Studies from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, in 2006.
In 2017 Mr. Gilley left his previous career to pursue his dream of teaching in Oakland and serving his community and its youth. Starting as an OUSD substitute teacher in spring 2018, he is thrilled to join the Glenview faculty.
Mr. Gilley has a passion for fun, games, singing, and dancing that he loves to share with his students. When not teaching, he can be found playing board and video games; spending time with his dogs, Lucy and Hershey; and singing and dancing along with various Broadway soundtracks.
