Celine Castaño

Ms. Castaño is so excited to start her teaching career at Glenview! She has 5+ years of experience working with elementary-aged children as a camp counselor, after-school group leader, teaching assistant, student teacher, and substitute teacher, and she can’t wait to add 4th-grade teacher to the list! She believes that all children have the power within themselves to change the world and strives to create a classroom that promotes critical thinking and creativity. Her passions include being a social-justice-centered educator, connecting with her community, and dismantling societal norms.

Ms. Castaño was born and raised in the East Bay and loves the Bay Area. After attending UC Santa Barbara to obtain her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Education, she moved to Berkeley with her partner, Cole, and their two cats, Nox and Vee, to get her master's in Education at UC Berkeley. When she isn’t cracking jokes in the classroom, you can find her baking, camping, going to concerts, trying new vegetarian recipes, hiking, watching movies, playing with her cats, going to the beach, listening to music, reading a good mystery book, and painting.

In her classroom, Ms. Castaño values each and every one of her students' ideas, thoughts, talents, and strengths. She is looking forward to making learning FUN and creating a family environment with the help of the Glenview community.
