Jessica DeStefano

Jessica started teaching at Glenview in 2020, and she is already feeling that Glenview Pride. She is so proud to be educating Oakland's youth amongst the warm, creative, knowledgeable, and fun staff at Glenview.

Jessica has been an Early Childhood Educator for 10 years. She has taught at a Reggio-inspired school in Brooklyn and at a play-based preschool in Oakland. After falling in love with the city of Oakland, she wondered what more she could be contributing to the community. She decided she could bring her knowledge of Early Childhood Development to Oakland Unified's Special Education Department. This is Jessica's third year teaching a special education class in Oakland.

She is currently working to obtain her Masters of Special Education from the California State University of the East Bay. When Jessica isn't teaching or studying she enjoys floating in the Russian River, walking the hills of her neighborhood, and making pesto sauce.
